it's been a brutal yet beautiful winter in chicago

 a view from my front sidewalk

my view while running along the lakefront

so liberating to get outside for a run 

felt like such a rebel running in frigid temps

great way to clear the mind

hope you're staying warm wherever you are

and

if you're somewhere warm and sunny

soak up some sun for me

first landscape in many years is in the works. 

been daydreaming about creating a colorful, 

loose landscape painting 

with a hint of interior. 

came across an image 

that called to me. 

and, voila. 

here's the sketch on canvas. 

now just need to paint the dude. 

main image is a bit hard to see drawing 

b/c graphite is so light.
