This weekend I have logged many hours on this painting. I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Sadie and Eli for playing while I painted on Saturday.

You can see the evolution of this work in the pictures above. Notice that I am beginning to paint mini paintings of previous work in the background of this painting (a la Matisse). Fun stuff.

At Home with Books

There is nothing like a potential exhibition to get the paintbrushes moving (more on the exhibition later). Here are images of a painting in process that I started last week. This painting captures two of my deep loves- books and color. Also, you can see the source for the composition and title along with what I am referencing for color inspiration.
